Mallari

Mallari is an important part of the Nagaswaram repertoire and is played on the Nadaswaram instrument when the deity is taken around the temple in a procession. It has been adapted into the Bharatanatyam repertoire as a beginning piece.

Aduvum Sholluval

This is a format of a padam in Bharatanatyam repertoire. in this piece, the naayika is in conversation with the another about “the other woman”

Natanamadinar

Natanamadinar is a very popular kirtanam in the Bharatanatyam repertoire.
Its based on a popular belief that Shiva promised the sages that he would come to Chidambaram at a particular to bless. He did not break his promise. Not only did he bless but also danced the Ananda Tandavam.

Shiv Stuti

Shiva Stuti is an ode to Lord Nataraja or NATA-RAJA- the king of dance. This piece describes all the attributes of Lord Shiva. He possesses all the five elements- air, water, sky, earth and fire.
